Snapshot of the week ending : 2009-02-16

Yeah… My first entry of the week was directed at someone specific. GAWD. I’m harmless except for when I’m not…

So Monday I’m doing my regular Monday Night Martinis with DC and KC. We rotate who cooks, drink all kinds of booze, watch Heroes on TV (my lust has changed characters this year. Can you guess who?), and uphold the “sex talk every 7 minutes minimum” in a family dome of silence.

This particular night was RC’s b-day and he was cooking (nice guy) and EM was over eating with us.  I was in A LOT of discomfort. I thought I’d been constipated for over a week. Except that I was shitting reguarily. By the end of the night I was on the floor writhing in pain. EM and DC took me to emergency. Apparently I has ovarian cysts. Two days later they determined that they didn’t need to do emergency surgery and I was sent home with an appointment with my surgeon from the fall and instructions to PRN my leftover meds from my surgery last year. BLEAH.

Got on a plane Thursday and headed to Edmonton for Lupercalia. It was AWESOME. Not the conference… my sessions facilitated by Master Skip and slave Rick. Major break through around M/s for me.

Anyways… details of my adventure twittered for your voyeuristic pleasure. I’ll blog my session experiences (maybe) another time.

• Almost 24 hrs in emerg. Note to self: next time have folks bring stuff (like phone) during first 6. Query: will they change my IV? #
• I’ve been instructed to twitter an update. I’m well. Keeping me overnight. Giving me morphine in IV. Cysts they say. Surgery? m/b #
• Snoopy people. I’m at VGH. Can I stay? They come at the touch of a button, offer drugs and the view is way better than my alley… #
• Overheard in the hospital corridor: “…he had no original thought…” – two 945yr old women. I wanted days off but not like this. #
• Said to the resident delivering the message from the surgeon, “You ARE old enough to remember Fraggle Rock aren’t you???” #
• Oh yeah. I’m breaking out. I’m on that plane to edmonton if I have to go in my hospital gown with a credit card strapped to my leg #
• No news yet. Just more drugs and more blood drawn from my veins – I’m going from dark to milk chocolate. Thanxs EM DC KC RC LVD #
• Patient loung here I come! Internet and open phone use! Maybe real food? If hospitals = health, why does the food taste like that? #
• Got my “get out of jail” pass! Going home to my dirty apartment with it’s rug covered in sparkles. Packing for Lupercalia next! #
• First paying registrant for http://CanadianMayhem.com! Wa-hoo! #
• I’m out of the hospital and while I’m in discomfort, I’m drugging and prepping the go to Edmonton for Lupercalia. #
• Sleeping in my own bed…mmmm… I don’t actually mind hospitals oddly enough. I sleep better in them. More deeply and restfully #
• Once said: I hate packing SO much, if I could get someone to do it (charge excluded), I’d let them jam a two piece lego up my nose #
• OMFG with the sparkles alrerady! All in my bed, suck to my ass, clinging to my dropped dildos, jammed between my toes… #
• Me, my cysty ovaries and piles of drugs are in Edmonton! – as of yesterday. I’m in room 708 peeps! Tonight: cold feet on the boi.. #

• Driving in a taxi through Edmonton, back to the Lupercalia hotel, I see ghosts of my youth everywhere I look. So much has changed. #
• First evening of Luper. Roman-style carnival games, scavenger hunt, toga fashion show and an extreme hooking pull by Vannie folk. #
• Day 2 Lupercalia: can I say that an alarm for 7:30am on a wknd is WRONG? NOTE: We can’t do this to the Femmes of Canadian Mayhem #
• How does a hotel run out of hot water? Two more sessions to go. The boi was cute covered in suction cups last night. Marks today #
• Fifth Angel and Laura Antiniou(sp) followed by romping the king sheets to the floor and dinner with friends. Tonight: hedghogging #
