Snapshot of the week ending : 2009-09-14

This weekend was the D/s Dinner Salon. Except this time, it was a pleasant tea with almost 20 people. We met, chatted about community and ate FANTASTIC food. The hosts were two of the loveliest people I have met over the past couple years. Committed to their dynamic and to a continued path of learning that will strengthen their interactions. It’s a pleasure to be around.

I find that spending time around people interested in thinking deeply about what they do to be extremely relaxing. And easier than being with folks who would rather talk about the weather or the movie they saw or the latest horror in the news.

It’s relaxing to step out of my meat suit around like minded people. I breathe deep and gratefully. It’s nourishing. There’s a big difference between chewing on something worth masticating at length and mentally wandering off to find relief from the mundane inside my skull.

• Yesterday 20 ppl showed up for tea to talk about D/s for 3+ hrs. A bunch of folks left, and the convo continued for another 4 HOURS. WIN!
• I love my butch’s pale creamyness up against my chocolateyness. It make my femme self feel delighted…a simple pleasure…

• Last year this time I was on my back in hospital and reliant upon the the gorgeous human nature of those who were around me. Thank you all.

• Always amazed at the interest in D/s & M/s. The tea session on Sat 12th filled up in less than 36 hrs! Eight on the waiting list..
