Is it possible that my personal experience of prostituting my charge – which was very much based in D/s with all kinds of BDSM – wasn’t… real? authentic? wrong? what? What was I engaging in?

The impetus for what we did was the erotic charge the person in service to me got. I took the money. I spent the money. My charge did not get any money. My charge had to provide me with a certain amount of money. It was pimping and “money-slavery.” The “dates” included BDSM. Without a doubt the whole thing was framed and made possible because of the D/s dynamic we shared. PERIOD.

I think this is differnet from talking about Survival Sex Trade Workers. I’m not talk about violence and addictions, etc… I’m thinking those particular aspects of a frame belong to street entrenched people or people who are trafficked or have no access to personal agency for whatever reason. And if one are talking about THAT, then I understand the position one might take. But one has to stated their terms to say those things. And so it would seem to me that myself and my friends who do both (and what about Professional Dominants – of whatever sex/gender – who offer sex along side of the BDSM services provided?) are included in judgemental statements which are lacking context.

And just to be clear, I’m not trying to shift anyone’s position. I frankly don’t care on a certain level. If me and mine are included in those statements fine. What I am hoping is that I can get clarity about WHO is being spoken about and WHAT set of behaviours.

I’m not advocating sex work where the participants lack access to their personal power. That holds the potential for abuse in my mind. Which is what I **think** what might be at issue. But I’m not certain and I’m not prepared to make assumptions.
