How amazing.
I think I can safely say that folks were challenged and learned and came away with food for thought.
Many thanks to all that showed up and to those who had good intent but were unable to attend. A lot of the women who attended the first one were present and there were a lot of new faces too. The conversation was such that I didn’t count until after things had officially ended and at that time there were 14 people still hanging onto the conversation.
I hope that those in attendance will stay in touch with each other through the boards and will expand the conversation to those in their personal circle and amongst themselves too.
The next one is **offically** planned for July, but with a variety of folks in town during June, perhaps a mini version might be in order.
I for one will say that a huge impact was felt by me on the subject of how my personal politic meshed with my sense of “rightness” with D/s and whether that constituted self judgement.
It was that level of deepness. It was challenging and tense at times. And it was full of questioning and revelation. This was not a group of women who were afraid of listening and questioning and ensuring they were clear.
I’m grateful to all that participated and look forward to seeing you all at the next one!
Oh!
And I’d like to send extra shouts to Joanne for the beautiful table and rose; to Ticha for permitting Joanne to treat me and the event with her own special brand of reverence; to Elaine for offering rides and listening to me with infinite patience, and to Silva for publicly having my back in a vociferous way.
And, of course, once again with feeling, to all those who showed up.
